Essential Services and Guidance for Tenerife Expats

Find quick answers to the most common questions about what I offer.

What services does Expat Helper offer to new residents?

Currently I offer NIE application assistance, digital certificate set up and empadronamiento (town hall registration). More services coming soon.

Do you assist with residency permits and documentation?

At the moment, I focus on shorter-term, essential services like NIEs, empadronamiento, and digital certificates. I do not currently offer support for full residency or visa applications, as these often require legal or immigration expertise. However, I’m happy to point you in the direction of trusted professionals or resources if you need help with more complex immigration matters.

Do you go to appointments with me?

In most cases, I provide full preparation support beforehand — including paperwork checks, appointment booking help, and detailed instructions on what to expect. For certain services in specific areas (Puerto de la Cruz and surrounds), I can accompany you in person for an additional fee.

What languages do you offer support in?

Support is currently offered in English, with Spanish assistance as needed during the process. German support can also be provided.

Do I need a lawyer for any of this?

For the basic services I offer (like NIEs and empadronamiento), a lawyer is not required. If your situation involves visas, appeals, or legal issues, I’ll let you know if professional legal help is necessary. I do not offer legal advice.

How much do your services cost?

Each service has a fixed fee, with optional extras like appointment accompaniment. Pricing is transparent and communicated clearly before we begin.
